I hate online banking
I created this tag specifically so I could repeatedly rant about online banking.
Why? Because online banking really annoys me. The security on it is stupid. Egg is brilliant - I can use a decent password.
I'm not allowed to do that with Halifax. The password I wanted to use didn't conform to their standards so I had to make up a new harder to remember one. The result - in order to remember it I had to write it down.
HSBC require me to have a security number and supply digits from it. The result of having to use this number? I had to write it down.
The list goes on. If banks would let me use my standard style passwords which I can remember loads of without problems I'm fine. But when they start imposing their own set of rules on me, you end up having to record your passwords and the whole point of the security is invalidated as if anyone hacked my computer they would have access.
